Toulouse’s Dreams is the working title of New York Theatre Ballet’s commission to the award-winning choreographers Art Bridgman and Myrna Packer, known as Bridgman | Packer, for the company’s first venture into the integration of dance performance and video technology.   Toulouse’s Dreams is scheduled to debut at Albany, NY's The Egg on February 25, 2022.

With a nod to the Belle Epoque through movement, sound score, costume, and music, Henri Toulouse-Lautrec is the subject of a non-improvisatory, contemporary dance with pre-recorded and live video projected onto backdrops, moving fabric, costumes, and the dancers.  The intent is for the video projections to metaphorically portray Lautrec's altered states of consciousness, his identity as an outsider in Parisian society, as well as his leanings toward what was considered the decadence of the times.

Toulouse’s Dreams, a one-act work, will feature six dancers, plus a special role for Diana Byer, Artistic Director of New York Theatre Ballet. The original acoustic / electronic musical score is by composer-violinist Martha Mooke, and it will be performed live by her at the debut. Anna-Alisa Belous is designing the costumes.
